IDN Media officially appointed Uni Lubis as the Editor-in-Chief of IDN Times. This star hiring is related to IDN Media's plan to strengthen the News team in order to satisfy Millennials’ and Gen Z’s need to consume news content from a credible source. In the future, Uni will lead the IDN Times team, from the strategy, business, and editorial side.

This achievement can be seen by only within 3 years, one of IDN Media’s portal, IDN Times, has become the fifth-biggest media in Indonesia based on monthly web visit data launched by comScore at the end of 2017.

Uni Lubis is known as a veteran journalist in which she wrote economic, monetary, political, and environmental news. She has also served as an editor-in-chief in various media, including ANTV, Viva.co.id, and as the Managing Director at Rappler Indonesia. Uni is also known as the member of the Press Council for two periods until the year of 2013.
