IDN Chat Vol. 02: Two Goals IDN Media Wants to Achieve about Informal Education

Last time, we had the “Innovation Secrets of Tokopedia” to begin the first volume of IDN Chat. We’re now coming again this Friday, 28 February 2020 at 07:00 PM in the Melting Pot of IDN Media HQ with a more interesting topic: “Art Collective Movement”.

In this second volume of IDN Chat, we’ve decided to have the presence of M. G. Pringgotono (Director of Gudskul Studi Kolektif), M. Sigit Budi (Art Collective Compound Manager), and Ajeng Nurul Aini (RuangRupa Manager). They’ll help us understand the importance of informal education to the students’ future.

Talking about Gudskul, as one of the non-formal institutions taking part in IDN Chat Vol. 2, it usually cooperates with educators capable of certain subjects, such as drawing and making jugs. IDN Chat Vol. 02 is to enable people to have a deeper perspective and see a broader fact that there are many sorts of success departing from non-formal aspects, like contemporary art.

Non-formal education is worth a special focus, too. There are two main goals IDN Media intends to actualize with the coming of IDN Chat Vol. 02. First, IDN Media wants to omit the prejudice that informal experiences can't be considered as a reliable portfolio. Second, it wants us to encourage one another to express ourselves through informal education, like contemporary art.
