Sixth Year of IDN Media, Winston Utomo: It’s a Long Way to Go

Today, June 8, 2020, is the 6th anniversary of IDN Media. Started with Winston Utomo’s dream (the Founder & CEO of IDN Media) of a better Indonesia, IDN Media has now grown and started to become one of the considered media companies in Indonesia.

 

In the last 2014, IDN Media first started its business with the Indonesian Times online news site (now IDN Times). At present, IDN Media is expanding its business units into creative agencies, event organizers, KOL agencies, out-of-home advertising, think tanks, and production house.

 

“It’s still a long way to go,” said Winston Utomo about what IDN Media’s 6th anniversary meant to him. This statement is more like a reminder of IDN Media's long journey to implement its main vision, which is to Democratize Information. 

 

Within the 6 years of its journey, IDN Media has faced a lot of challenges, but only with the great support of Timmy, users, and partners, IDN Media can get to where it is today. "We are never alone. With these astonishing people, we always work harder and harder, hoping that Indonesia will become a big country," Winston Utomo emphasized.

 

Nevertheless, to keep its commitment to democratizing information, there are countless points on the list that IDN Media still needs to tick off. Since its establishment, IDN Media has always given its best to consistently hold on to this vision. Winston believes that with the right vision, media is supposed to be the one carrying the ball to give some positive impacts to society through the information it shares. Media also plays an important role in developing Indonesia.
