IDN Media Appointed Uni Lubis as the Editor-in-Chief of IDN Times

IDN Media officially appointed Uni Lubis as the Editor-in-Chief of IDN Times.  This star hiring is related to IDN Media's plan to strengthen the News team in order to satisfy Millennials’ and Gen Z’s need to consume news content from a credible source. In the future, Uni will lead the IDN Times team, from the strategy, business, and editorial side.


Changes in information movement due to digitalization brings a significant impact in various sectors including business model, profession, and media landscape in Indonesia. “I’m very thrilled to join IDN Media. When I first met Winston, I was amazed by the vision of IDN Times and what it had accomplished in such a short time. I’m very excited and strongly believe that IDN Times will become the media company for the future and achieve its vision of becoming The Voice of Millennials and Gen-Z,” said Uni Lubis.


Established in 2014, IDN Media has already been well-known as an independent media, which envisions to become The Voice of Millennials and Gen-Z through valuable and worth-sharing content. This achievement can be seen by only within 3 years, one of IDN Media’s portal, IDN Times, has become the fifth-biggest media in Indonesia based on monthly web visit data launched by comScore at the end of 2017.

Uni Lubis is known as a veteran journalist in which she wrote economic, monetary, political, and environmental news. She has also served as an editor-in-chief in various media, including ANTV, Viva.co.id, and as the Managing Director at Rappler Indonesia. Uni is also known as the member of the Press Council for two periods until the year of 2013. The hiring of Uni Lubis as the Editor-in-Chief of IDN Times is expected to enhance our team’s professionalism, as well as to bring new positive energy in the development of IDN Media as the leading digital media for Millennials and Gen-Z in Indonesia.
