IDN Media Appointed Judithya Pitana as the Editor-in-Chief of Popbela.com

IDN Media appointed media veteran Judithya Pitana as Editor-in-Chief of Popbela.com. In addition to representing the brand’s editorial vision, Judithya is also responsible with expanding Popbela.com’s presence through new audience experiences and products. Judithya will be in charge to re-energize the brand with a content strategy focused on lifestyle, social and cultural issues its audience cares most about. “The vast growth of online media and content industry have convinced me that it is the business of the present and future. As one of the most successful and trustworthy media companies in Indonesia, joining IDN Media (Popbela.com) is a great honor for me. It is my true passion to grow alongside millennial women and to help our audience express their voice through our platform and community.”

Since first established on February 2016, the traffic of Popbela.com has massively increased to more than 3 million monthly web visitors, up from 1.4 million monthly web visitors last year, and mobile traffic has played a major rule in the rapid growth.

In March 2017, Popbela.com launched its first large scale annual event, BeautyFest Asia. The event, which welcomed 6.100 visitors over two days, is the biggest beauty conference and exhibition in Indonesia featuring global beauty influencers such as Jenn Im, Tina Yong, Pearypie and Stephanie Villa, latest beauty products, current trends and innovations across the beauty industry, and ultimately an award night to recognize excellence in the beauty industry. Starting 2017, Judithya Pitana will also be responsible of creating small to large scale events to further expand Popbela.com’s community and branding.

Judithya Pitana joined Popbela.com on July 2017. Previously, she was the Editor-in-Chief at Qraved, and the long-time Editor-in-Chief at CosmoGIRL! Indonesia, where she built the brand’s digital awareness from zero, as well as expanding the brand’s editorial strategy with more localized contents. Judithya graduated from University of Indonesia.
